Milpitas is sandwiched between the Calaveras Reservoir and Coyote Creek which means lots of beautiful landscape views but also lots of wildlife. Certain pests can wreak havoc on your lawns and plants. The Gopher Team is here to help you protect your pristine yards and gardens from invasive gophers, moles, and voles!
Gophers are probably the main pests we encounter at both residential and commercial properties. Their telltale crescent-shaped mounds will pop up in lawns or planting areas then you will usually begin to see plants decline or disappear completely as the gophers eat them from the roots up.
Similar to gophers, moles are burrowing animals that will leave behind pushed up mounds of dirt. However, they are carnivorous so they will not go after your plants and their mounds are more volcano or hill shaped.
Voles, like gophers, will also eat your plants but unlike gophers (or moles) they will not leave behind pushed up piles of dirt. Voles instead leave behind small, clean open holes with no raised dirt around them.

The simple answer is that we built our homes in their habitat. Gophers were here before we were so they will come and go as they please in search of food. Our maintained gardens and landscapes are perfect food sources for them all year round.
As professionals, we like to be up front about how there aren’t really any guaranteed ways to prevent these critters from coming onto your property. We have customers who installed “preventative” measures like gopher mesh, gopher baskets, or sonic stakes who still end up regularly needing our services. While we cannot guarantee prevention, we can guarantee that professional trapping and baiting methods get quicker, more efficient results.
Yes, we are working on expanding our service throughout Milpitas and all of Santa Clara County!
